Our History
PCS Company is a Misumi Group Company and is headquartered in Metro Detroit’s Fraser, Michigan. PCS was first started back in 1950 as a family-owned business, R & S Tool, which was involved with the manufacturing of cutting tools out of Warren, Michigan. In 1968, PCS Company was established and R & S Tool merged into it. P-C-S stands for Pins, Cores, and Sleeves as these are the original items that were first manufactured. PCS Company ejector pins are still well-known today throughout the industry. In time, the addition of mold and die components were added to the PCS product line which brought about a rapid expansion and the move to our current location in Fraser, Michigan.
Further growth prompted the opening of our Grand Rapids branch office in 1992 for further expansion in the US and in 1993 we greatly increased our presence into Mexico. Standard mold bases were added to our product line in 1997 along with the ISO-9001 Quality System, in 1998. At the turn of the century, this success led to our acquisition by Dayton Progress and joining the world-wide team specializing in metal stamping tools and components. Then in 2012, we were acquired by Misumi Group, Inc. and joined the leading supplier of configurable and fixed components for the Factory Automation, Press Die and Plastic Mold Industries. Together, we make up a company of brands that are each committed to offering you the best within our respected industries.
